As a critical partner in delivering health and social services to Sex Workers across South Africa, CCI welcomes the launch of Lenacapavir (LEN) in SA. CCI’s CEO Dr Sakumzi Ntayiya, alongside fellow executives and key stakeholders, proudly attended the national ceremony held in Mpumalanga. “Today marks a significant step forward in expanding access to innovative prevention options for vulnerable populations including Sex Workers – one of the communities at the heart of CCI’s work. We see this as a groundbreaking advancement in HIV prevention, and has the potential to transform lives and strengthen the country’s HIV response”, said Dr. Ntayiya. Launched by President Cyril Ramaphosa, this milestone shows commitment in ensuring that those most at risk have access to life-changing prevention tools, quality healthcare and the dignity they deserve.
