Lorna Nxumalo

Lorna is a results-driven Associate General Accountant (SA) registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, bringing over a decade of expertise in compliance, grants management and financial governance. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences and an MBA – combining strong technical acumen with strategic leadership capability. Her professional journey includes valuable audit experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Auditor-General of South Africa, equipping her with a deep understanding of financial management, risk management and regulatory compliance. Lorna has successfully overseen major international funding/grants including USAID, The Global Fund, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She has held leadership roles such as Grant Manager at the Africa Resource Centre and Anova Health Institute, Finance Manager at the Wits Health Consortium and Global Fund Compliance Manager at Right to Care.
