A senior global health professional with over 18 years of experience leading large-scale HIV and TB programmes across sub-Saharan Africa. Her work focuses on expanding equitable access to prevention, testing, and treatment services for vulnerable populations, and translating evidence into policy and scalable health solutions through close collaboration with Ministries of Health, global health donors, and technical partners.
Throughout her career, Sophie has led complex multi-country programmes and health systems strengthening initiatives across Southern, Western, and East Africa. She has held leadership roles with organizations including the AIDS Foundation of South Africa, Pharmaceutical Systems Africa, Irish Aid, Skillshare International, and Dorcas Aid International, working across donor agencies, international organizations, and local partners. Sophie holds a BSc Honours in Economics, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Arts in Social Behavior Studies in HIV/AIDS and is currently pursuing a PhD in Healthcare Management.
