Ms Shilumani is a South African national with over 20 (Twenty) years of working experience in the public health field – ranging from South Africa, Southern and Western African regions as well as internationally (based in Switzerland working in East Asia & Pacific). Her previous roles and functions ranged from being a Technical Expert to being a Manager and recently performing Senior and Executive Leadership roles. Ms Shilumani has worked for the Governments of South Africa and Sierra Leone; Local, Regional and International NGOs; the United Nations (ILO, UNODC and UNFPA); Catholic Relief Services; and the Global Fund. Within CCI, she provides strategic direction for the organization, ensuring sustainability of both the donor-funded programmes and the organization more broadly. Her personal interests are in identifying, nurturing and unleashing leadership talent to benefit Africa’s development, particularly focusing on empowering teams to fully realize their potential.
