Location: Free State (Dihlabeng Sub-District)

Duration: Immediate until 30th of March 2025

Reporting to: Out of School Manager

Organisational Background

Centre for Community Impact (CCI) is a non-profit South African organisation based in Pretoria. We

aim to be a centre of excellence in strategic health and development communication programmes

that are centered around meaningful community engagement. CCI has been implementing Social and

Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) programs since 2004.

Position Summary

Coordinate the project sub-component aimed at strengthening economic and work opportunities

related activities for Adolescent Young People (AYP), project tracking and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate implementation of AYP Economic Strengthening and Livelihoods (ESL) module

activities working closely with the Prime Recipient, ESL Service Providers, other Global Fund

partners, and the government departments within the sub-district on the rollout of a

comprehensive Economic Strengthening Livelihood programme as determined by the GF award

for AYP programme and in line with National Strategic Plan.

• Develop an ESL Light Programme Implementation Plan(s) in alignment with the SR AYP

Implementation plan, including plans that monitor and support Service Providers to deliver high

quality deliverables.

• Conduct routine program oversight to ensure quality improvement and be an available support

resource to the ESL Activity Coordinator and service providers as and when needed.

• Contribute to the knowledge management hub on AYP ESL component (document key lessons learnt and best practices as well as promote information exchange).

• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Health; Social Science or Economic Development)

• 2 years managing projects and programmes against specific milestones. Proven track record of

project management with an emphasis on deadline management.

• Extensive knowledge of stakeholder management, community engagement, HIV/AIDS, TB and

STI issues among key populations in South Africa.

• Advanced computer skills in the Microsoft Office Package.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.

• Knowledge and experience in working within adolescent and young people.

Required skills and competencies.

• Knowledge of youth Livelihood approaches.

• Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong negotiations, time management and conflict resolutions skills
