Location: Free State (Dihlabeng x 1 & Setsoto x 1)

Duration: Immediate until 30th of March 2025

Reporting to: Out of School Manager

Organisational Background

Centre for Community Impact (CCI) is a non-profit South African organization based in Pretoria. We

aim to be a centre of excellence in strategic health and development communication programmes

that are centered around meaningful community engagement. CCI has been implementing Social and

Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) programs since 2004.

Position Summary

Effective Coordination, Planning and Facilitation of all Peer Education, Community and Parents

interventions in the Safe Spaces and in the Community.

Primary Responsibilities

• Recruit, enrol, and mobilise Adolescent and Young People (AYP) who are eligible for the AYP


• Identify vulnerable AYPs and link them to appropriate PSS interventions e.g. AYP aged 10 – 14

living with HIV to be linked to Family Matters, AYP who are grief stricken to be linked to

Abangane Grief Support Groups and AYP who are survivors of sexual violence are to be linked to

stepping stones and post-violence care support.

• Plan, Coordinate and Facilitate all PSS group interventions.

• Coordinate GBV awareness events in the community and safe spaces and link victims of GBV to

appropriate support services.

• Ensure that there are sufficient resources for each intervention.

• Communicate the Schedule of sessions and venues with beneficiaries.

• Ensure that sessions are recorded, and registers are submitted to M&E for capturing.

• Track progress and manage attritions and/or new participants.

• Be flexible to work on weekends.

• Perform any other duties within the program as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Child and Youth Care Qualification (min NQF Level 4)

• Registration with SACSSP (2022/2023)

• Police clearance certificate

• Additional training in facilitation skills will be an added advantage.

• Previous training and involvement in Family Matters will be an added advantage.

Required skills and competencies.

• Excellent Planning and Facilitation Skills.

• Professional Group Facilitation.

• Ability to engage with Adolescents and Youth in a friendly professional manner.

• Mentoring and counselling individual young people.

• Ability to express empathy and manage emotions.

• Commitment to abide by the Professional and Ethical Conduct Rules and Regulations of the

Regulatory body.

• Good writing skills that will enable the incumbent to compile reports and present them.

• Good communication, listening and problem-solving skills.

• Computer literate in MS Office package.

• Ability to work individually and in a team.

• Innovative, Creative, and Flexible.
