Centre for Communication Impact (CCI) is a non-profit South African organisation based in Pretoria. We aim to be a centre of excellence in Strategic health and development Communication programmes that are centred around meaningful Community Engagement. CCI has been implementing Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programs since 2004.

Position Summary

Rend To lead facilitate discussions and dialogues, briefings on program activities and drive community awareness programs. To conduct outreach activities to key populations within the district.

  • Collect Conduct health promotion sessions, awareness campaigns and other programme related events
  • Lead facilitation of discussions/dialogues, briefings on program activities, community awareness programs, etc.
  • Engagement and awareness on core activities
  • Lead on Human Rights and Advocacy priorities
  • Conduct Advocacy Issue identification events
  • Lead in the development and implementation of action plans to address prioritised advocacy issues
  • Conduct linkages and integration of the program to existing government initiatives.
  • Support linkage to care of key and vulnerable populations, including the LGBTI community, Adolescent young people and others
  • Facilitate focus group discussions/creative spaces for key and vulnerable populations Adolescent young people and others. Provide case management and tracking for all reported human rights violation cases
  • Ensure a function linkage and referral systems between service providers
  • Monitor and report on successes including challenges of the referral system and problem solve as needed
  • Report on caseload on reported cases per age and gender breakdown and trend per key vulnerable populations
  • Document and provide feedback on reported cases
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor & Post Graduate Degree in Development or Gender Studies
  • Experience in working on Human Rights/Sexual Reproductive Health/TB and HIV/AIDS in the NGO or government sector
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and exposure to a range of human rights issues including barriers to accessing legal and health services in Global Fund supported districts
  • Good writing skills that will enable the incumbent to compile reports
  • Good communication, listening and problem solving skills
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work individually and as a team
  • Knowledge and understanding of human behaviour, social systems and skills to intervene at a point where people interact with their environment in order to promote their well-being
  • People Management and empowerment skills
  • Information and knowledge management skills
  • Knowledge of programme and project management skills
